Abstract/Description
Tibet: Devil Dance, Black Hat. The guns carried by the Tibetan nomads look like pitchforks because of the prongs attached to the barrels. In firing from seated or prone positions these prongs are used to steady the gun. The huge hats the men wear are made of sheepskin and fox skin.
The gods dance at Lhabrang Gomba. Travel, LXIII (3), 22. Caption.
